Boil Water Advisories
If we have an Active Boil Water Advisory, it will be listed below.
Due to the reasons stated below, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the system to notify some customers of the need to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.). Children, seniors and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions.
The affected areas are described below.
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water used for drinking, cooking, and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to use. The water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify you that the water is safe for drinking water or human consumption purposes. Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice.
Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail.
If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact John A. Owens at 936-544-2986. We apologize for the inconvenience.

February 28, 2026
The Consolidated Water Supply Corporation will be assisting the City of Groveton with emergency water supply needs. Beginning immediately and continuing as needed, bulk water tanker trucks will be filled near the new Latexo ISD gym parking lot.
The tanker trucks are operated by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ). Residents in the surrounding area may experience:
-
Increased truck traffic and brief traffic delays
-
Temporary changes in water pressure during tanker filling operations
These activities are necessary to support emergency water delivery to Groveton. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we assist our neighboring community. Thank you for your understanding and support.
